    Established in 1998 as a joint venture of Indiana University's School of Music and the Office of Research and the University Graduate School, the Center for the history of Music Theory and Literature (CHMTL) brings together various actvities, publications (both electronic and conventional), and projects centered at the School of Music at Indiana University. In addition to its current activites, CHMTL anticipates expansion with additional full-text databases, publications, conferences, and occasional fellowships for visiting scholars.

    It is designed to run in a Macintosh lab to restore individual hard disks to a configuration specified by the lab administrator. RevRdist compares the local hard disk volume to a master folder, usually located on a network volume. Where differences are found, RevRdist can update the local file or folder from the master copy, delete the local file or folder, move the local item to a "junk" folder from which it will be deleted later, or simply ignore the difference.
