The ASR-X is a sampler, resampler, synthesizer, effects processor, and sequencer all in one. The sampler sounds great and is one of the easiest to use and the built-in synthesizer has over two hundred sounds as well as an expansion slot giving access to even more waves and more sounds. The ASR-X has 13 velocity sensitive pads that have been carefully designed for incredible accuracy and feel. They have been positioned in chromatic order making it much easier to play patterns and melodic riffs. SSMU allows conversion of Studio sessions, Super Studio Session, and Jam Session songs to MIDI format and plays them through MIDI equipment. In addition, SSMU is a sequencing application which can be used with all MIDI sequencing applications as a stand-alone program. SSMU allows you to play more than 40 simultaneous notes on up to 8 different instruments on your MIDI equipment. SSMU allows for instrument by instrument or track by track control of volume (velocity), balance (pan), and other MIDI effects such as modulation, expression, portamento, and breath.
